On October 12, 2018 was held in AkzoNobel 's (now called Nouryon) research center in Deventer, The Netherlands, a symposium in honor of the 25th work anniversay of Dr. Antoon ten Kate.

In addition to presentations from the company and from Dutch universities, Professors Georgios M. Kontogeorgis (CERE and KT-Consortium) and John Woodley (PROSYS and KT-Consortium) gave invited talks entitled:

 

  • Georgios Kontogeorgis "Thermodynamics for a Sustainable Chemical Engineering in a Changing World - A pragmatic view" 
  • John Woodley "Using Biocatalysis for Future Chemicals Production"

AkzoNobel has been member of both CERE consortium and KT-Consortium (previous known as CAPEC and CAPEC-Process consortia) over many years and several alumne from DTU Chemical Engineering are currently working with AkzoNobel.
