Simulation of a new chilled ammonia process for CO2 capture using the CERE Aspen Plus module

 

This project covers two simulation phases, of a new ammonia process for CO2 capture proposed by Silica Tech. The steady state simulation is set up using Aspen Plus applying the CERE extended UNIQUAC user model developed at DTU.

The process utilises absorption, high pressure crystallisation and low temperature regeneration in order to minimise the energy consumption applying advanced energy integration.

The user model is available to the CERE consortium on a license basis.
