Danish mathematicians, engineers (CERE professor John Bagterp Jørgensen) and doctors have developed an algorithm, which is intended to make it possible for any type of pump to inject the correct dosage of insulin and glucagon

14 people with type 1 diabetes are testing the pumps at Steno Diabetes Center Copenhagen. If the experiment proves to be succesful, the Danish scientists will pioneer the development of an artificial pancreas.
