On May 22nd -23rd associate professors Philip Fosbøl and Nicolas von Solms attended the kickoff meeting in Dunkirk, France of the H2020 project 3D “DMX Demonstration in Dunkirk".
The project is funded to the tune of 20 million Euro and has participants mostly from industry, but also universities. As part of the kickoff meeting the project team visited the huge Arcelor-Mittal steel plant just outside Dunkirk.

The project aims to capture carbon dioxide from this plant’s blast furnaces as well as develop technology for conditioning, transporting and storing the CO2. DTU CERE/Chemical Engineering were invited to participate in the project because of their expertise in all aspects of the carbon value chain. In this project we will specifically be looking at CO2 liquefaction and compression.”
