The project partners include DTU CERE, Rambøll, Pentair Union Engineering and ARC ( Amager Ressourcecenter). DTU CERE has been granted 5.28 million DKK in this project.
DTU CERE has three objectives in this project:
- Process simulations and implementation. Theoretical investigations and modelling of how the carbon cap-
ture process can be implemented in the best way possible.
- Pilot testing. DTU CERE is currently constructing a pilot plant 1/10 th of the size the ARC carbon capture demonstration plant. This pilot plant can be used for an initial test at ARC before the construction of thelarger demonstration process.
- Keep in touch with Carbon Capture Trends. This is done in order to make sure the ARC carbon capture project
is not outdated upon finalization.
DTU CERE has worked with CO2 capture technologies for the past 10 years in various Danish and EU-funded
research and development projects. Carbon capture from waste-to-energy plants is a new market, and DTU CERE
believes that moving fast into this topic can secure a fixed base for further research and future collaboration initiatives
