Assoc . Prof.Nicolas von Solmsattended the Petrophase conference in Kanazawa, Japan from 1-6 June 2019 (a conference which CERE hosted Denmark in 2016 with Assoc. Prof von Solms and Assoc. Prof. Wei Yan as chairs).
Petrophase is the premier academic conference dedicated to petroleum chemistry, phase behavior and flow assurance.
For the first time a dedicated session was held in the area of recovery of methane from natural gas hydrates, an area which is receiving growing global attention.
Assoc. Prof. von Solms has had activities in this area for some time already and is currently increasing activity here.
