Visit from guest professor Seung Rae Lee

During the period 15 March 2014 to 14 March 2015 Professor Seung Rae Lee from Geotechnical Engineering Laboratory at Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering, KAIST University in Korea will visit Ida Fabricius at DTU BYG.
Professor Seung Rae Lee received his PhD in Civil Engineering from Stanford University in 1989. The topic of his dissertation was “Elasto-plastic finite element analysis of braced excavations in clays”.

Currently Professor Lee is supervising five PhD students and four master students.

His current research topics are: Utilization of geothermal energy and landslides; Design and monitoring technologies for energy piles considering various ground conditions; UTECUS (Underground Thermal Energy Conversion, Utilization, Storage) system and Landslides disaster mitigation system.
