This apparatus provide accurate data of density and isothermal compressibility in broad temperature and pressure ranges. Different type of samples can be studied, including both synthetic and real reservoir fluids.
The densimeter operates in the temperature range up to 200°C and pressure range up to 140 MPa.
Density is determined through the measurement of the frequency of vibration of an excited U-shaped tube. The oscillation periods are displayed with seven significant figures.
The densitometer is connected to a pressure line comprised of a manual pressure generator (HiP 37-6-30) and a pressure transducer SIKA type P which measures the pressure up to 150 MPa. The measuring cell of the densitometer is thermostated through a liquid circulator bath Julabo PRESTO A30.
