Applied geoscience within CERE addresses exploration for and utilization of natural energy resources and raw materials.
We focus on fields of research associated with engineering aspects of utilization of hydrocarbon resources and geothermal energy as well as geophysical surveying techniques related to natural resources exploration and geotechnical investigations in relation to e.g. offshore wind farms.
We cover several geoscience disciplines including geology, geophysics and rock mechanics, and it is our goal to integrate information from these and related disciplines in order to optimize utilization of natural resources.
